Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how eDPI Calculator ("we", "our") handles information when you use edpicalculator.net. The short version: we collect almost nothing, we never sell anything, and your eDPI history stays on your device.

Information We Collect

We do not require an account, and we do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or payment details unless you voluntarily send them via our contact form.

The only data the calculator stores related to your usage is your eDPI history, and it is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. We never receive, upload, or sell that data. You can clear it at any time using the "Clear History" button on the calculator, or by clearing your browser's site data.

How We Use Information

Information you submit through the contact form is used solely to respond to your message. We do not add you to a marketing list, sell your information, or share it with third parties beyond the email provider that delivers our reply.

Cookies and localStorage

We do not set tracking cookies. The site uses localStorage for the eDPI history feature, which is browser-local storage and cannot be read by any other website. If you use Google Analytics (see below), Google may set its own cookies for measurement purposes; you can opt out using your browser settings or Google's opt-out tools.

Third-Party Services

  • Google Analytics 4 (optional): If we have configured GA, we may collect anonymized aggregate analytics about page views, traffic sources, and device types. Google may process this data with anonymized IPs. See Google's privacy policy for details.
  • Vercel Analytics: We may use privacy-friendly first-party analytics from Vercel. Vercel Analytics does not identify individual users and does not set tracking cookies.
  • Hosting and CDN: The site is hosted on Vercel, which logs basic request metadata for security and reliability.

Your Rights

Because we do not collect personal data, there is little to access, correct, or delete on our side. You can:

  • Clear your eDPI history at any time using the in-app "Clear History" button or by clearing site data in your browser.
  • Block analytics scripts using browser-level controls or extensions like uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger.
  • Contact us using the contact page if you submitted any information through our form and want it deleted.

Children's Privacy

Our calculator does not target children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal data via our contact form, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage.
